Traveling overseas has enough pressures without trying to find the best deals on a place to lay your head. I searched priceline.com, expedia, orbitz, travelocity, and many little local sites to my destination to find a place to stay within my budget, and Yes, the above sites are great for finding hotels or extended stay motels or even short term motels in the continental United States. But they did nothing in the way of finding that perfect cozy little place that is equal to say our Motel 8’s here in the States for overseas stays. They mostly brought up in their searches the most popular hotels, and even if they didn’t just go by most popular, none of what they were showing was in my price range. My trip was to Madrid, Spain, and I was lucky enough to have the person I was meeting there find me a place, and she had to book it. This was very inconvenient and not what I wanted. About a week after my trip, I decided I wanted to go back again. I was not terribly pleased with the hostal (hotel/motel) I was in last time, so I started my search again. And finally! I came across this site called Onetravel.com. A Gold Mine! Hotels are too expensive, but OneTravel showed all the small places, every apartment rental, house or room rental. Motels and Hotels as well at prices that were in my budget! I’m talking about a place that’s only $27 dollars a night, including all the luxuries I was accustomed to. Like my own personal fridge, tv, bed, walk out terrence, air conditioning, housekeeping (free of charge) shower, internet connection (free), desk, even plugins that allowed my US based cords to work in the European plugins. For about a quarter of what a hotel costs through the other sites. I found everything I wanted for $27 a night. The trip went flawlessly, and I was very pleased with my accommodations. I would highly recommend OneTravel.com as the perfect place to find incredible deals on all your international destinations. Use the others for your US trips, but compare any of the above with OneTravel for your international trip and you will see a whopper of a difference in price and choice! Even for your U.S. trips! Cheap Airline Tickets, Cheap Car Rentals…a perfect one stop shop. At least for this traveler.
