Florida was the 27th state to enter into union in 1845. Florida is 58,605 sq. miles, the capital city is Tallahassee and the state population is 18,328,340. There are two Cocoa Beach hotels that are nice and right by the Cocoa Beach Pier. The Best Western and the LaQuinta Oceanfront. Both of them have ocean view rooms available and LaQuinta has just completely updated the hotel. It has all new rooms. They are also great locations to watch a space shuttle launch.
