A hotel can be a great place to have a birthday party. My daughter has had a few birthday parties at the Radisson Hotel in Roseville MN. We usually rent two conjoining rooms to accommodate all of her friends, that way we have one big room with two bathrooms. At her last birthday party, the first rooms they gave us were not conjoined so I took all of the kids to one of the rooms while my step-dad had the pleasure of going back down to the check-in area in the lobby to get the rooms changed. Needless to say, housekeeping had an extra room to straighten out by the time we got settled into our final rooms.

When my dad had made the hotel reservations, he received Two Twenty-five-dollar gift cards for a BP gas, and free breakfast coupons for myself and all of my daughter’s friends to enjoy in the Radisson Hotel restaurant. It was an expensive restaurant so having everyone eat breakfast for free saved us a lot of money. We always look for great hotel deals before we make our hotel / motel reservations, whether we book in the grand master of all luxury hotels or the cheapest of all cheap hotels.

In addition to the large rooms at the Radisson Hotel, they have the sleep number beds which the kids also had a lot of fun playing with. And as usual, their favorite thing is the pool. They spent hours swimming, playing water tag and soaking in the Jacuzzi. When they were finished in the pool and hungry, we went back to the room to order pizza. We waited an hour, still no pizza. My dad called them back to find out if they mistakenly placed the order for pick-up instead of delivery. We were confused as to why they asked for the name of the hotel, our room number and they also quoted us 25-30 minute delivery time, then we found out that they did mark the pizza for pick-up. However, they agreed that it was their mistake and delivered the pizza’s free of charge. The kids ate, played cards and watched a movie before they passed-out.

We all woke up and went down to breakfast. The kids ate as fast as they could, not wanting to miss a single minute because they knew the sooner they were done, the sooner they could get back into the pool. Considering the room mix up and late pizza, all in all it worked out. With all of the free food and the gas gift cards, no adult could complain either!
